A Little About Dr. Raymond Nwaneri

Dr. Raymond Nwaneri (Dr. Ray), DNP, APN, CRNP, MSC, MSN, MBA, AGNP, PMHNP-BC, Master Certified Psychopharmacologist, prescriber, clinician executive, and educator, is the Founder/President of Alpha Psychiatric Associates LLC. He is a thoroughbred and consummate professional clinician with over two (2) decades of management and leadership experience in business and healthcare combined.

Dr. Ray has a very rich professional cum academic background. He graduated from Wilmington University with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, from Rutgers University with a Master of Science degree in Nursing, and from Wilkes University with a Master of Science Certificate. He also holds a Master’s Certificate in Psychopharmacology from the prestigious Neuroscience Education Institute. He is double board-certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and as an Adult and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. He loves teaching and has held teaching positions as adjunct clinical faculty at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he taught and mentored undergraduate nursing students, and at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he taught and mentored psychiatric nurse practitioner students prior to going into full-time clinical practice.

In addition to his robust certifications and degrees in healthcare, Dr. Ray is a graduate of the Executive Presence and Influence: Persuasive Leadership development certificate program of the Wharton Business School Executive Education, University of Pennsylvania, and the Organizational Leadership certificate program of the Harvard Business School, Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Science in Economics (M.Sc.), and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (B.Sc.). He holds active membership in the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, London, United Kingdom.
